Assisted Living Services include 24 hour on-sight response, personal care, supportive services, nursing and transportation.
Our Medical Director is Dr. William Shade from Zanesville, Ohio. He is available to our staff at all times and makes getting orders for care quick and easy. He visits our building each week. In addition to our medical director, we offer on-site psychology, podiatry, optometry, and dental services to meet the needs of our residents.
Whether you are recovering from a recent hospital stay or require minimal nursing assistance, our team of dedicated healthcare professionals is able to meet all of your nursing needs. Red Carpet Assisted Living is well equipped to meet your loved ones’ individual needs. Medication management is offered to all the residents with the coordination of our Medical Director or the resident’s Primary Care Physician.
Our 24-hour nursing services consist of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and State Tested Nurse Aides.
Our assisted living residents are invited to attend exercise programs at our facility that occur through-out the week in our therapy gym. With therapists on site, the gymnasium has weights and equipment to boost your wellness and fitness levels. In addition to our scheduled exercise program, our therapy team invites residents into the gym throughout the day.
We offer semi private and private accommodations in our assisted living facility. If a semi-private room is requested, our attentive staff takes the time to always ensure that residents are paired with roommates/companions that will complement each individuals’ stay at our facility. We are also able to accommodate for the needs of married couples. All rooms are fresh, pleasant and cleaned daily. Laundry and linen services are also available at our facility with no additional costs to our residents.
A unique availability in our assisted living rooms is the ability to bring a pet. We have a facility kitty named Ms. Kitty and welcome you to bring your little loved one along with you for your stay. Let us know during admission if you have a pet that you would be interested in bringing with you and we can provide you with more information.
Cable and telephone services are available to each resident and already installed for easy use.
Our attractive, comfortable dining room enhances the warm, home like atmosphere. Our professional nutritional staff, complete with a Dietitian and a Dietary Supervisor carefully individualizes resident’s meals to ensure that they are well-balanced and nutritious. Red Carpet Assisted Living is adept in coordinating specialized and therapeutic diets with each resident’s primary care Physician to meet the needs of our residents. To keep our facility and our dietary department on the cutting edge of providing for our residents, we also have a Dietary consultant through our new and improved food provider.
Snacks are made available to residents throughout the day, in addition to an “Always Available” menu for all meals. Mealtime is special for other reasons, too. They include holiday dinners served with all the trimmings, resident and family special event dinners, theme dinners and luncheons, private dining for family events, and bedtime snacks. Every resident at Red Carpet Assisted Living benefits from a comfortable atmosphere, good companionship, and home cooked meals.
The safety of our residents is vital. Our facility is equipped with many features, which make it a safer place to live then many private homes. We have handrails in our hallways, heat and smoke detectors, fire alarms with updated sprinkler systems throughout the facility.
Adult recreation and social programs
Professionally planned and coordinated programs are offered and encouraged to all residents. Our staff encourages everyone to pursue those interests that have been a traditional part of their lives and also to try new activities. Programs include crafts, individual hobbies, cards, bingo, parties, teas, movies, worship services, and programs sponsored by and/or in the local community. In addition to the usual events in the facility, our goal is to host one BIG event each month. Invitations to these special events are extended to all residents, families, staff, and the community. We are also able to provide an enclosed courtyard ideal for strolling, visiting, relaxing, and gardening.
Our enclosed and private courtyard is just an added bonus to our facility’s list of amenities. With plans of gardening and weekly cookouts, we can’t wait to enjoy a lazy afternoon outside with you!
Our beauty and barber shop is open on Monday and Thursday of each week. Our beautician, Tamara is well known in our community for the wonderful work she does. Her beauty shop is a hot socialization spot for our residents.
Our staff assist in coordinating and transporting individuals to appointments that may arise outside of the facility. Our onsite medical director, psychologist, podiatrist, optometrist, dentist, and wound services assist in the decrease for the need of outside appointments. When the need for transportation does occur, we are able to provide for that need with our facility bus. In addition, transportation is also available for field trips and shopping.
We offer professional social services to ease the transition into the healthcare facility. Our goal is to assist each resident in attaining the highest possible quality of life. Social services include individual and family counseling, referral services, resident and family support groups, and discharge planning.
We are able to coordinate palliative care/ comfort care at our facility. Hospice of Guernsey works with our facility staff to arrange for all aspects of care needed during end-of-life care.
As an option, our facility arranges for all medication needs to be handled by a professional pharmacy specializing in services to healthcare facilities and their residents. The pharmacy’s sophisticated computer system checks each prescription history for contraindicating drug combinations. A pharmacist is in our building 1-2 times per month to review each resident’s medication history, looking for the best and most up to date medications that will benefit the residents we serve.
